4/30/2011 (POLAND) - Alicja Kornasiewicz, chief of one of the biggest and supposedly most stable banks in Poland, Pekao S.A. (about 60% owned by the Italian UniCredit nowadays though) resigns without giving any sorts of explanation to the media, despite a somewhat good year given the circumstances and making huge plans in terms of the bank’s future strategy back in February. Currently resides in the International Accounting Standards Board, used to be a politician for the Polish government, starting as early as in 1989. Worked as the secretary of the state for the national Ministry of State Treasury from 1997 till 2000. One of the richest women in Poland. In 2004 she was named the most influential woman in the whole country. Shitloads of influence in the government even to this very day, actually making a good job in terms of maximizing Pekao’s profits, suddenly resigns straight after making some bold claims for the future… Just like that. Poof, gone. Nobody knows exactly why. Fuck knows what else she’s doing now, seems to have fallen into obscurity - no news whatsoever. Strange, since people (especially people like that) don’t just fucking disappear. For me it’s sketchy as shit, but you’ll be the judge.Thought you mind find it interesting. Seems to fit into your pattern of strange coincidences worldwide. All the best.
